Pues vamos a empezar un nuevo proyecto, Paracas americanos, tras terminar la compañía de Panteras. Uno no puede estarse quieto jeje. Siempre me han atraído los paracaidistas. Sean de la nacionalidad que sean. Los americanos por la mítica serie de Hermanos de Armas, junto al libro de Stephen Ambrose, Band of Brothers, en el que está basado la serie, libro que os recomiendo leer si no lo habéis hecho. Aunque quizás por encima estén los red Devils, Arnhem y su Puente Lejano, mítica película de 1977, año de nacimiento de un servidor.
Lo peor de este nuevo proyecto es que ya tengo una compañía de paracas americanos pintados. De plástico duro. Del Open Fire/Hit the Beach.
La última partida que eché con americanos, dónde sufrí de lo lindo con la infantería regular atacando,me hizo acordarme de lo buenos que son los paracas y lo que me gustan.
La verdad es que están muy bien los de plástico duro. Os dejo unas fotos más abajo para que los veáis.
Además, aquí tenéis un resumen del torneo que hicimos por Badajoz y que jugué con ellos. Por si no lo habíais leído. Siempre me gustó jugarlos.

Pero me gustan mucho las minis de metal. Así que conseguí de segunda mano la caja de 2/3 edición ya descatalogada. La UBX18. Te da para casi tres pelotones. 2 de 9 peanas+bazooka y 2 LMgs. Y un tercero de 7 peanas donde tuve que apañarme el mortero y algunas minis de plástico flexible para completar el pelotón.
Os voy a ir contando cómo organizo la pintura de un pelotón de infantería. Lo primero es el montaje. Yo las pego a la peana y después las Pinto. Es más rápido, además que no manchas el resultado final si las pintas por separado y después las pegas a la peana. Total, dónde no llegue el pincel es que no se ve jeje.
Tras pegar las minis(4 por peana), las de metal tienen un reborde. Para igualarlo, primero doy un par de capas de arena de playa y cola blanca. Eso casi lo nivela. Por último, con un producto de Vallejo termino de dar volumen y más textura a la peana. Es hora de poner alguna piedra o lo que os guste.

After gluing the minis (4 per base), the metal ones have a flange. To even it out, I first coat a couple of layers of beach sand and white glue. That almost evens it out. Finally, with a Vallejo product I finish adding volume and more texture to the base. It's time to put some stone or whatever you like.
En este momento añado también los extras de las peanas, como los muros, rocas, troncos, Jeep destrozado, torreta de sherman etc. Trato de dar individualidad a cada base. Aunque es difícil, se van acabando las ideas jeje. Es mas, estas ideas están muchas ya repetidas en anteriores pelotones jejej
Después, sacamos el Aero. Capa base a las minis de camuflaje Pardo alemán negro 70822. Un par de capas. Servirá de color sombra para la mini.

Ahora con Tierra mate de Vallejo le doy a la arena (70.983). Da igual si se manchan algo los pies. Tras dejarlo secar, pincel seco de arena iraquí.
Vuelvo a repasar con Camuflaje pardo negro alemán lo que he manchado. Y ya tengo las minis listas para el pintado.
Ya estoy con el pintado del primer pelotón. Cuando tenga dos terminados más el HQ ( 3/4 semanas) os traigo el resultado final y la receta de colores. He elegido el uniforme M1943, el que utilizaron tras la campaña de Normandía. Al ser verde, cambio de tono marrón ya que pintar infantería soviética, inglesa, japos, o americanos son todos tonos marrones. El color base es Vallejo Model Color 70.893 US Dark Green, por si os sirve de anticipo.

I have chosen the M1943 uniform, the one they used after the Normandy campaign. Being green, it changes to a brown tone since painting Soviet, English, Japanese, or American infantry are all brown tones. The base color is Vallejo Model Color 70.893 US Dark Green, in case it serves as a preview.
