FLAMES OF WAR: Pintura Comandos/Infantería británica.

 

Vamos con otro tutorial de pintura. Comandos británicos. Una de mis unidades favoritas de Flames. Hace como 5 o 6 años que conseguí hacerme con una compañía. La pinté. No contento con el resultado, hace un año la repinté. Esta vez quedé bastante satisfecho. Pero pasó el tiempo, y veía las bases y no me gustaban demasiado. 

 Así que esta navidades decidí repintar las bases, y de paso, retocar las minis. Os dejo a continuación los colores utilizados, todos de Vallejo Model Color. Estos colores también os sirven para pintar la infantería británica regular, ya que el uniforme es prácticamente el mismo color. Las mochilas y correas eran diferentes, pero podéis pintarlas ambas del mismo color, ya que también eran muy similares. 

1. Color base de toda la mini. Tras una ligera capa de imprimación negra, aplicamos 70822 Camuflaje alemán pardo negro. Este color nos servirá de sombra. Es un tono que me gusta mucho, y lo suelo utilizar en casi todas las minis que pinto desde hace un tiempo. A continuación, de lo que se trata es de ir dejando en pliegues y recovecos este color base que actuará de sombra. 

2. Color principal. El uniforme de ambas unidades es el mismo, así que os doy el color que utilicé, el 70.921 English Uniform. Las luces ( aplicando este color en zonas prominentes, y dejando siempre que se vea debajo el color anterior) las di 70.977 Amarillo Desierto. 

3. Mochilas, correas y similares. Tras ver imágenes reales coloreadas, el color que más veía era un tono marrón khaki o uno verdoso. Pero dado que pintas para kekos en 15 mm, a veces es mejor optar por un color similar que conjunte mejor con el color principal. El color que creo que mejor encajaba y que además era neutro y no desviaba la atención de cara y uniforme, es un tono verdoso, e 70.886 Green Grey. Hace poco vi en la tienda este mismo color y era algo diferente al que tengo. Manía de Vallejo de cambiar los colores de vez en cuando. 

Las luces de este color la di con  70.884 Gris Piedra, en forma de finas líneas. 

Otro color que podéis utilizar es el uniforme ruso. O un verde neutro  que os guste. Yo no optaría por marrones claros por que no destacarían por el propio color del uniforme. 

Let's go with another painting tutorial. British commandos. One of my favorite units from Flames. It's been like 5 or 6 years since I got hold of a company. I painted it. Not happy with the result, I repainted it a year ago. This time I was quite satisfied. But time passed, and I saw the bases and I didn't like them too much.

 So this Christmas I decided to repaint the bases, and incidentally, touch up the minis. Here are the colors used, all from Vallejo Model Color. These colors also serve to paint the regular British infantry, since the uniform is practically the same color. The backpacks and straps were different, but you can paint them both the same color, as they were also very similar.

1. Base color of the entire mini. After a light coat of black primer, we applied 70822 Black Brown German Camouflage. This color will serve as a shadow. It is a tone that I really like, and I use it in almost all the minis that I paint for a while. Next, what it is about is to leave this base color in folds and recesses that will act as a shadow.

2. Main color. The uniform of both units is the same, so I give you the color I used, 70.921 English Uniform. The lights (applying this color in prominent areas, and always leaving the previous color to be seen below) were given by 70.977 Desert Yellow.

3. Backpacks, belts and the like. After viewing actual colored images, the color I saw the most was a khaki brown or greenish hue. But since you paint for kekos in 15mm, sometimes it is better to go for a similar color that matches better with the main color. The color that I think was the best fit and which was also neutral and did not divert attention from the face and was uniform, is a greenish tone, e 70.886 Green Gray. I recently saw this same color in the store and it was something different from what I have. Vallejo's mania of changing colors from time to time.

The lights of this color I gave it with 70,884 Stone Gray, in the form of fine lines.

Another color that you can use is the Russian uniform. Or a neutral green that you like. I would not opt ​​for light browns because they would not stand out due to the color of the uniform itself.

4. Botas, con negro. 

5. Rifle. Color base con 70.875 Marrón Beige, luces con  70.981 Marrón Naranja, y con el metal siempre utilizo los colores metálicos de GW, los mejores. Usé el runefang steel. 

6. Caras y manos. Cubriendo la mayor parte de la superficie, y dejando una finas líneas del pardo negro alemán, el Carne Marrón (72066), de Vallejo Game Color. Luces con 70.815 Carne Base, y si queréis apurar y detallar más, mezclas el anterior con blanco. 

7. Piats, morteros ligeros: 70.924 Uniforme Ruso WWII.

8. Boinas. Opté por el 70888 Gris oliva. 

9. Por último, repasamos con un pincel muy fino y mucho cuidado con pardo negro alemán allí donde no lo hemos respetado, de esta manera volvemos a crear sombras donde no las hubiera.

5. Rifle. Base color with 70.875 Beige Brown, lights with 70.981 Orange Brown, and with the metal I always use the GW metallic colors, the best. I used the runefang steel.

6. Faces and hands. Covering most of the surface, and leaving a fine lines of the German black brown, the Carne Marrón (72066), from Vallejo Game Color. Lights with 70,815 Base Meat, and if you want to hurry and detail more, mix the previous one with white.

7. Piats, light mortars: 70,924 Russian WWII uniform.

8. Berets. I opted for the 70888 Olive gray.

9. Finally, we go over with a very fine and very careful brush with German black brown where we have not respected it, in this way we return to create shadows where there were none.

Adorné las peanas con restos diversos: jeeps, vallas, vickrs lmgs, troncos, etc, señal que conduce a Caen y una bici apoyada en ella...todo conduce  a dar personalidad e individualidad a los pelotones.

Cada pelotón tiene su base pintada con un color. Así en la batalla los pelotones son fácilmente identificables.

Por último, tras los mandos y tres pelotones, las vickers y morteros.

Y para terminar, otros que pinté por las mismas fechas: unos Daimlers y Dingos de plástico de los que sacó battlefront con el día D británico. Cojonudos. Fácil de montar, gran acabado y proporciones. Con bits sobrantes. Y encima, de precio, unos 12-13 euros los 4. Antes un Daimler eran 9 euros. 

And finally, others that I painted around the same time: some plastic Daimlers and Dingoes from which battlefront took place with British D-day. Fucking. Easy to assemble, great finish and proportions. With bits left over. And above, price, about 12-13 euros the 4. Before a Daimler was 9 euros.
